The organizers of last month’s Women’s March on Washington have designated today, March 8, as a Day Without a Woman. We’ve got some great pieces to commemorate this historic day and call to action including a look at what talent agency UTA is doing for its employees and a piece on how the Iridium jazz club in NYC has made March “Women’s Month” with special performances by Meshell Ndegeocello, Chely Wright, Liz Longley, and Jennifer Batten as part of the “HerStory, Her Voice” series.
It’s also California Week and we begin our coverage with two stories from the Golden State — an interview with Kendra Clark from SMG Stockton and a Five Shows piece with JoAnn Armstrong from Honda Center in Anaheim. We’ve also got an update to the Joe Meli/Ponzi scheme story and new details on the case, including incriminating audio recordings and allegations that his mother received stolen funds.
