Yesterday was the first day back for many in the music industry and it didn’t take long for the news machine to get moving. At 10:19 a.m. we received an email from Goldenvoice that simply contained a lineup poster and the words “Festival passes for both weekends go on sale Wednesday, January 4th at 11AM PST.”
Is it just me, or are they trying to use as few words as possible? In his Pollstar column this week, Dave examines the Coachella hype machine and asks if the media is getting played in its rush to dissect AEG’s $100-million event. Dave also looks at the death of Facebook persona Kimberly Strubell and her dog Mr. Spaghetti, while Taylor breaks down a BuzzAngle report on streaming. We also have news of Michael Enoch’s move back to the U.S. and a link to the new trailer for Stephen Dorff’s new Nashville-based film Wheeler.
And still no baby for Dave and Kristen — in fact, there’s a very good chance the little guy will be born on Friday the 13th!
