U.K. booking agent Jake Leighton-Pope is leaving CAA to launch his own management company, IQ is reporting. Leighton-Pope started his career in management for artists like Paul Oakenfold and Richard Ashcroft, after a ten-year run as an agent where he repped Will Young, Little Dragon, Dodie and Cherry Glazerr, Leighton-Pope informed CAA UK co-heads Emma Banks and Mike Greek that he was returning to management.

His first artist is electronic performer Anna Straker, who he will co-manage with James Barnes from Forty Four management.

“I started in management 20 years ago, and it’s time for me to go back,” Leighton-Pope tells IQ. “I loved being an agent – I did it for ten years and had a great time – but I’m in my 40s now, and it was time for a change.”
