Lighting designer Kathryn Blair says that the things that haunts her the most from the news coverage of the Orlando Pulse mass shooting is a Snapchat taken by 25-year-old victim Amanda Alvear moments before her death. The video shows shots being fired in the club environment, where the lights are flashing in the background. “You can tell in the background that nothing had changed,” Blair told PBS NewsHour.
