Every baseball fan who had a Minute Maid Park app installed on their phones got a message from Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa during game four of the World Series, Sports Techie reports. In a message sponsored by Mastercard, Correa appears through the app’s AR viewer to encourage fans to join Major League Baseball’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign. Mastercard says $4 million was raised for cancer throughout the 2017 MLB season thanks to fan donations. Mastercard made a $100,000 donation of its own.
