Musical duo Phantom has partnered with Zebracolor and Notch to create the world’s first interactive 8k 360 VR music video. Phantom is made up Hanna Toivonen and Tommi Koskinen who worked at tech startups, in gaming, jazz, and sound design. Together they contacted their developer friends to build the video for their debut single “Scars” using a Microsoft Xbox Connect camera. As you watch the video and listen to the music, viewers can play with a UFO by flailing your hands above a device that looks like a flying saucer among other interactive moments. “VR is truly one of the best ways to listen to music. It makes it an experience,” said Matt Swoboda, Director at Notch. Check out the eerie video here.
