Will it ever melt yo, not yet. Hand on the table — Ii’s wet!
Sorry for the impromptu rap lyrics — we just love this promo by the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Canada. To help promote its Sept. 9 visit by the I Love the 90s tour featuring Vanilla Ice and Salt N Pepa, the venue froze two tickets in a block of ice and asked fans to guess how many times Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby” could play on repeat in full, before the ice completely melts. The ice was placed in the sun at 10:28 a.m. and took more than 30 hours to melt. That’s 408 spins of “Ice Ice Baby” before it thawed. Three fans guessed 407 spins; they were each given two tickets. The entire thing is documented on their Facebook page here, and it’s worth checking out.
If there was a promo, the Trib would post it, check out this ice while the sun straight roasts it!
Ice, Ice Tickets!
