One of the 90’s best one-hit wonders is back. The Toadies took a day off from putting some finishing touches on their forthcoming album to record a cover of “Take Me Out To the Ballgame” and announce they will play a post-game concert at the Texas Rangers stadium, Globe Life Park, on April 29. Guitarist Clark Vogeler, a lifelong Rangers fan, said his family “would take me to games way back at the original Ranger Stadium. And then I’d go with friends after they built the beautiful new ballpark and enjoy a beer and a game. To think that we’ll be playing on that field, right after the game, is kind of mind-blowing.” The band recorded two versions of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” — one original version that you can hear here and one containing a T-E-X-A-S chant, which you can listen to here.
