Another hockey season, another crushing post-season defeat for the Washington Capitals, or as I like to call them “the Buffalo Bills of hockey.” After the team’s stunning Game 7 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday, we had to revisit this clip from last year of CSN sportscaster Michael Jenkins deciding to give up on his dreams and turn to the bottle, pounding a Whiskey-Coke on the air after the Caps were eliminated (by the Penguins ofcourse). “I got a message for all you kids out there,” he says directly into the camera. “I know everyone says you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it — it’s all one big lie.” We feel your pain Mike, and hey, at least you didn’t take it out on an innocent Pens fan. Watch the hilarious 2016 segment here.
