That’s Chuck Morris of AEG Live Rocky Mountains with the incredible Malcolm John “Mac” Rebennack – better known as Dr. John – who opened Friday for the Avett Brothers at Red Rocks.

“My best story was in 1974 me with Chuck E. Weiss on the afternoon of his show at Ebbets Field,” Morris wrote on Facebook. “Mac wanted to go to a movie so we all went too. The movie that was opening that day — we knew nothing about it since it was just opening — was “The Exorcist.” While Chuck E. and me were scared to death almost in a petrified state, Mac just laughed the whole movie. I reminded him at the Rocks this week and I think he did remember it. Gave me a look like, ‘Why wouldn’t everybody laugh at the movie?'”
