The SMG-managed Dunkin’ Donuts Center and Rhode Island Convention Center will welcome retired Providence Officer Lincoln Sisson and his canine Kyra to join its security staff on Sept. 11.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to enlist the expertise of Lincoln Sisson and Kyra,” said Lawrence Lepore, SMG’s General Manager.

Officer Lincoln (Linc) Sisson had been a Police Officer for the City of Providence since 1995. Officer Sisson is partnered with a new explosive detection K-9. Kyra, a six-year old female Belgian Malinois. She lives and works with Officer Sisson every day. They have traveled extensively to provide services to many high profile events that require a significant level of K-9 support.

“This is the forward kind of thinking that SMG completely embraces at its facilities and is thankful to be associated with a city like Providence that has the vision to introduce and support such a program,” said Wes Westley, President and CEO of SMG.
