Most refunds obtained by credit card chargebacks
Over 80% of fans who purchased tickets to the canceled Pemberton festival have received refunds through their credit card companies Amplify has learned from multiple sources. Weeks before the festival was scheduled to take place this year, the event’s owners declared bankruptcy and producers HUKA Entertainment were left trying to explain what happened to the fan’s money and why the event failed.
It’s unclear how the remaining 20% of fans will obtain refunds. The case is winding its way through Canadian bankruptcy court with Ernst and Young serving as a trustee.
