In a message on Twitter, the band announced the cancelation over “personal reasons.”
This morning the band’s Twitter posted a message that their European tour dates beginning on Jan. 22 in Paris and concluding on Feb. 20 in London would be canceled with no intention of rescheduling. They also stated that band leader Justin Vernon would not be making his scheduled appearance on A Prairie Home Companion on Jan. 14.
All tickets for the cancelled shows will be refunded and the band apologized to fans. The band’s other appearances that begin with Coachella in April and include stops in Spain, Ireland, and Portugal are still listed on their site as happening.
