Organizers for Mala Luna festival have announced headliners Cardi B, Nicky Jam, and Tyler, the Creator for their Halloween weekend event. The third annual weekend celebration will feature the first post-pregnancy performance for Cardi B, who recently dropped out of a supporting gig for Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic tour.
On July 26, Cardi took to Instagram to announce her departure from the tour, stating, “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically.”
The Invasion of Privacy rapper added that she originally thought she could bring daughter, Kulture, with her on tour, but doctors advised against taking the baby on the road.
“I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby! Thank you Bruno for being so supportive and understanding,” Cardi concluded.
Cardi is now scheduled to take the stage with fellow headliners and Lil Pump, Dillion Francis, Deorro, GTA, and more at the Oct. 27-28 festival at Nelson Wolff Stadium (parking lot) west of downtown San Antonio, T.X.
Viral sensation Becky G is also set to perform prior to releasing her debut project, which will include two full-length albums, later in 2018. American DJs Deorro and Dillion Francis will perform along with Miami-based duo GTA.
Also slated to appear is “Gucci Gang” singer Lil Pump, up and coming Atlanta emcee Lil Baby, Rich The Kid, BlocBoy JB, and Smokepurpp.
Last year’s Mala Luna festival sold-out both days, hosting 50,000 fans for performances from Future, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Migos, G-Eazy, Tory Lanez, Lil Uzi Vert, Rae Sremmurd, and Lil Yachty, as well as Kaskade, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Carnage, Borgore, and others.
