Elton John left the stage after repeatedly telling a rude fan to “Fuck off” on Thursday night at John’s performance at the Colosseum in Las Vegas.
John has a tradition of bringing fans on stage during his performance of “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting,” but one man sullied the experience for everyone last week, causing John to leave the stage. In a video obtained by TMZ, the man can be seen distractingly waving his arms in John’s face and being told to stand back by security guards. The man persists and the video shows John telling the man to “Fuck off” several times.
After the video was released, John released a statement on social media stating “This guy was rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt.” The statement from John explained “A fan put his hands on the piano keys while I was playing and continued to do so even after I asked him to stop. He then proceeded to reach over the piano and try to take pictures, completely disrupting the performance.”

The video shows John getting up and being escorted off stage by security. His band finishes up the song and the fans are ushered back to their seats. The concertgoers recording the moment are convinced the show is over until John returns to the piano and says “No more coming on stage on Saturday night. You fucked it up.” John then closes out the show with “Circle of Life.”
