This story has been updated with a revised statement from TM
Ticketmaster is shedding “a couple dozen jobs” in a company-wide realignment, a spokesperson for TM has confirmed. The move was part of an effort to “reinvest in the company.” We’ve got confirmation that these individuals were let go:
George Wood, SVP in the Chicago office
Kathy Frazer, Sr. Director, Client Development
Bob Garsh, GM for Ticketmaster Detroit
David Willis, Sr. Client Development Director.
The spokesperson noted that Ticketmaster has hired 300 individuals in 2014, and released this statement:
We did a small re-alignment over the last few weeks to ensure we continue to reinvest for our incredible growth. We had record performance in both primary and resale in 2014 and throughout the year we hired more than 300 people.
