Booking agent “Boca Phil” Egenthal has left Madison House to accept a position with Paradigm, Amplify has learned.
Joining Egenthal at the agency is band The Revivalists, who’s track “Wish I Knew You” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart last year. He is also bringing George Porter, Jr. with The Meters, Dumpstaphunk and Foundation of Funk. His last day at Madison House was earlier this month.
Egenthal joined Madison House in 2010 after owning and operating his own booking and management company The Philosophy Agency in South Florida with partner Wes Samuel. During the move, the majority of the Philosophy Agency roster, including The New Deal, Benevento-Russo Duo, Brothers Past, Future Rock, The Mutaytor, Telepath, BioDiesel, Juno Reactor, American Babies, the Postmarks, Lance Herbstrong, The Fire and Reason, and Van Ghost made the move to Madison House.
Prior to Philosophy, Egenthal worked at booking agency AM Only (which is now part of Paradigm) as an agent and had previously worked at Fantasma Tours with founder Jon Stoll, who died in 2008. He’s also worked as a production assistant and writer for VH1’s “Storytellers,” “Hard Rock Live” and “Legends.”
