After three years as an independent company, Rob Hallett’s Robomagic is now officially a Live Nation company according to IQ Mag. Hallett was previously the president of international touring at AEG Live before launching his own company. While at AEG Live, Hallett handled tours for Jennifer Lopez, Leonard Cohen, and Justin Bieber. He also helped launch British Summer Time Hyde Park before leaving in 2014 to start Robomagic.
Established in January 2015, Hallett’s Robomagic consists of two entities. Robomagic Live is a boutique touring division, while Robomagic 360 covers touring, recording, publishing, and artist/brand management. TLC, Sleaford Mods, Goldie, Boy Better Know, and Duran Duran are all on the company’s current roster of artists.
Now with Live Nation, Robomagic will be promoting UK tours for HER, Why Don’t We, Lemz and Jammer of Boy Better Know. Prior to joining forces, Robomagic and Live Nation worked together on Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen in Montreal last November and Boy Better Know’s O2 Arena takeover in August.
During Hallett’s time at AEG Live, he worked on Prince’s 21 night residency at the O2 Arena in London, three Bon Jovi stadium treks, and Leonard Cohen’s successful 2008–10 comeback tour. Before joining AEG Live in 2005, Hallett was a director of Mean Fiddler Music Group (later MAMA & Company, now owned by Live Nation), after a decade as an agent and promoter at Barrie Marshall’s Marshall Arts.
