Austin rockers Spoon are hitting the road.

The band plans to kick off a tour Oct. 5 at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre along with the Shins and will hit the West Coast before wrapping up with a performance at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on Jan. 20.

The tour aims to celebrate the release of Spoon’s ninth album, Hot Thoughts, which “came out to a cavalcade of critical ecstasy in March, and has sustained continuous praise in all the ‘Mid-Year Best-Of’ lists,”  according to a statement from the band’s reps.

Spoon also has released a new video set to a live recording of the track, “I Ain’t The One.”

“Renowned British artists and filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (Silent Sound20,000 Days On Earth) have captured one of the world’s most formidable live bands in an intimate studio setting,” and statement says. “The slinky silhouettes and blue-tinged shadows complimenting the song’s sinewy synths and Britt Daniel’s standout soulful vocals.  The minimalist drums and bass surface sporadically throughout, building tension across the melancholy melody that never quite relents.”

The band also plans to reissue their 2007 hit “Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga” Oct. 20.
