The mystery is half over.
A glitch tying his Facebook account to his Instagram sent out a notification that read “your friend Joe Atamian is now posting on Instagram as agentvspromoter.” And when users searched Joe Atamian on Instagram, the agentvspromoter account popped up. Atamian is the booking agent for country singer and Grammy winner Sturgill Simpson.
Still secret — the identity of the promoter involved in Agent vs Promoter. Amplify reached out to Atamian’s camp for comment. We’re told to expect an announcement as soon as tomorrow.
Agent vs Promoter has grown in popularity since its creation in 2013, detailing “The very difficult lives of a booking agent and a concert promoter” through funny gifs and witty captions. On April 1, 2016, the account posted a picture of Paradigm agent Sam Hunt and C3 talent buyer Huston Powell, implying the two were the authors of the account.
Turns out that was just some bullshit. We now know, without any conceivable doubt, it’s Joe Atamian. Because he accidentally gave himself away.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
