ARENA NETWORK SIGNS FARGODOME, WOLSTEIN AND ORDWAY
Arena Network and its Theater Network division have signed three new venues, adding to its membership of more than forty major arenas and theaters throughout North America. The new venues include Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota; Wolstein Center in Cleveland; and Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul. “We are proud to be able to serve these prestigious venues with our combination of booking expertise and management experience gained over a combined 70 years of our staff working in the live environment,” said Ed Rubinstein, CEO of Arena Network, while Jennifer Kelly, executive director of Wolstein Center, notes that “in the short period during which we have been an Arena Network member, we are already in the process of booking multiple shows that they brought to us.”
GROHL BRINGS BACK CAL JAM WITH FOO FIGHTERS, IGGY POP AND MORE
Dave Grohl is bringing back Cal Jam for another year with a promised marathon set from the Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop and his All-Star Post Pop Depression band featuring Queens of The Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen and Arctic Monkeys’ drummer Matt Helders. The concert is priced at an affordable $99 (plus taxes and fees) for a one day GA pass. This year, Saturday ticket holders have the option to buy a Friday night ticket for $30 (plus taxes and fees) and kick off the festival with 80s punk legend Billy Idol. Also on the bill is Bridget Everett, the comedian who Jerry Seinfeld called, “one of the greatest live performers I have ever seen in my life,” and Mexico City’s Mexrrissey, performing their set of Smiths and Morrissey cover songs in Spanish, plus carnival rides and the Rock-N-Roll Museum. ED SHEERAN, MAREN MORRIS, AND ZEDD TO PERFORM AT BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards have added another group of A-list performers to the lineup. Ed Sheeran, Maren Morris, and Zedd have joined the roster of musicians playing the May 20 show. Other artists for the night include Christina Aguilera in collaboration with Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, John Legend, Camilla Cabello, Dua Lipa, BTS, and host Kelly Clarkson. Sheeran’s performance will be on location from Dublin, Ireland since the singer is in the middle of a world tour.
