LEIWEKE JOINS CONSORTIUM MAKING BID FOR HAMILTON VENUES

Tim Leiweke with Oak View Group has joined a group of Canadian consortium including billionaire Ron Joyce to make a bid for several venues in Hamilton, Ontario managed by Spectra. A report to Hamilton city officials is recommending the city give the Spectra-backed group Core Entertainment a six month renewal for FirstOntario Centre, and FirstOntario Concert Hall, while creating a long-term bid process that has Spectra competing against local convention center operator Carmen’s Group and it’s list of partners, including OVG. City leaders are interested in closely examining a $250-million proposal to rebuild the downtown arena into an entertainment district for one of Toronto’s largest bedroom communities.

Alternatively, DJ Khaled posted on social media the day of the show that he was “still on vacation” with his family alongside an image of him in a pool with his kid.
