SPORTS EVENTS 365 ENTERS CHINESE MARKET WITH CTRIP

Sports and music event ticketer, Sports Events 365 has entered into an agreement with Chinese travel website, CTRIP, and other tourism companies to expends its reach in the market. The Israel-based company that serves as a reseller for global sporting events to offer tickets on the site using Sports Events 365’s independent and self-owned destination-based database and search engine. Sports Events 365 has also initiated activity on a B2B basis with 20 Chinese tourism and sports tourism companies that will purchase tickets directly from Sports Events 365 on a permanent basis. Sports Events 365 will establish an office in China with local employees to handle since it forecasts sales to be between $2-3 million by 2019.


BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN TO MAKE RARE TV APPEARANCE ON TONY AWARDS

Bruce Springsteen has been announced as a performer for the 72nd annual Tony Awards airing this Sunday (June 10). In a rare television appearance, Springsteen will take the stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York in honor of his Broadway show Springsteen on Broadway. Springsteen’s Broadway show was ineligible by choice to win award since the rocker and producer chose not to provide comp tickets for Tony voters since it was such a limited run. On Sunday, Springsteen will also be presented with a special Tony award for his sold-out show.


KANYE WEST WILL HOLD ‘PROJECT WYOMING’ EVENTS IN MORE CITIES

After Kanye West hosted an advanced listening party for his new album ye in Wyoming, the artist has announced a few extra dates under the name ‘Project Wyoming.’ The sparse message on West’s website reads #projectwyoming and lists three locations. For June 6, Chicago and Miami are listed next to RSVP, while an event in Brooklyn is listed for June 7. There is currently a wait list for the Chicago and Miami events which are being ticketed by Dice. The event details simply state ‘Ye brings Wyoming to Chicago/Miami.” It is unclear if the events will be listening parties or just events where influencers can purchase limited Kanye designed Wyoming t-shirts.
