ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC ANNOUNCES PETE FISHER AS CEO
Academy of Country Music has named Pete Fisher its new CEO after Bob Romeo stepped down in May. Fisher will be the second person to ever hold the position for the Academy which was previously managed by Fran and Bill Boyd since its inception in 1964. Fisher was previously the VP and GM of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and will relocate to the Academy’s corporate location in Los Angeles for his start date of Jan. 30.
MACON CENTREPLEX HIRES DAVID AIELLO AS NEW GM
Spectra has named David Aiello the new General Manager at the Macon Centreplex, Coliseum, and Auditorium. Most recently, Aiello was the Assistant General Manager and Director of Marketing at the Tsongas Center and Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Mass. “David is a well-experienced leader who will help us continue to generate excitement for the region here in Macon,” said Spectra’s Trent Merritt, Regional Vice President in a statement. “Through his experience within Spectra he knows how to maximize opportunities with our other properties here in Georgia and leverage them to create new opportunities for the region.”
ATL’S FOX THEATRE ANNOUNCES LEXUS AS MARQUEE CLUB PARTNER
Atlanta’s Fox Theatre has signed a seven-year agreement with Lexus to be the exclusive presenting partner of the Marquee Club, a premium club slated to open the fall of 2017. “The new Marquee Club will provide exclusive, personalized service at another level, much like Lexus does for our customers,” said Jason Cropper, General Manager of Lexus Southern Area in a statement. “It’s a natural fit for the Lexus brand to be more engaged with patrons of the Fox and this fantastic new space.”
