BOB SEGER POSTPONES TOUR
On doctor’s orders, Bob Seger has announced he will be postponing his 2017 Runaway Train tour. According to a release from AEG, Seger has been forced to hold off on touring due to an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae. Seger said in the release “I am so disappointed to have to suspend the tour as the band is on a great roll. It’s a privilege to play for our amazing fans. Hoping to be back out on the road very soon.” Rescheduled dates are expected to be announced soon and current tickets will be honored.
DOLAN FURIOUSLY CALLS MURDOCH OVER ‘HOPELESS NICKS’ ADS
James Dolan, Executive Director of MSG Networks, which owns the New York Knicks, has reportedly called 21st Century Fox executive chairman Rupert Murdoch to complain about FS1’s Knicks bashing ads. The ads, plastered on subway trains and coating subway seats, include text that says “Sit here if you blame Dolan” and “Nothing will change until Dolan sells the team.” An industry source told SNY they are “dealing with a s–tstorm internally at Fox,” adding “If you post something like this you have to expect Dolan’s wrath.”
OWNER OF GHOST SHIP PROPERTY TO GET $3M INSURANCE PAYOUT
Chor Ng, owner of the ghost ship warehouse where 36 people died in a fire last December, will reportedly receive a $3 million payout from Commercial Industrial Buildings Owners Alliance Insurance Company. An attorney for the long time Ghost Ship tenants Max Harris and Derick Almena who have been charged with 36 counts of manslaughter, told Bay Area news network KTVU about the sum and that the money should go to the family of the victims. Ng has been named in several civil suits stemming from the deadly fire, but not in the criminal case.
