BONNAROO ANNOUNCES 2018 DATES
Coming off a successful 2017 iteration last weekend, Bonnaroo has released the dates for its 2018 festival. Bonnaroo will host its 18th event June 7-10. The four-day festival will once again overlap with the CMA Music Festival, which is also held in Tennessee. This year’s festival saw performances from Chance the Rapper, Lorde, and for their first-ever American festival headlining performance, U2. Details on tickets and lineup will be released at a later date.
BONNAROO ATTENDANCE BOUNCES BACK
More than 65,000 fans came out for this year’s Bonnaroo festival, representing a nearly 43 percent increase over 2016. Headliners included the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Weeknd, as well as a high-profile opening by U2, who performed the band’s pivotal Joshua Tree album in its entirety. U2 is currently touring in support of the album’s 30th anniversary, and Bonnaroo was the Irish band’s first-ever U.S. festival appearance. This year’s other headliners included Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Major Lazer, The xx and Travis Scott.
TICKET ALTERNATIVE PARTNERS WITH BLUMENTHAL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Ticket Alternative announced today it has partnered with Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, North Carolina to run the space’s call center. According to a release, the center decided to work with Ticket Alternative due to its success with venues like The Fox Theater in Atlanta and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Ticket Alternative’s call center supports clients on a variety of ticketing systems, including Spectra/Paciolan, AudienceView, TopTix, Gateway/Galaxy and Freshtix.
