BRIAN MURPHY MEMORIAL SET FOR APRIL 16
A memorial will be held April 16 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles to honor the life of Avalon Attractions co-founder and AEG Live executive Brian Murphy. The service honoring the pioneering SoCal promoter will begin at approximately 3 p.m. Amplify will share additional details about the memorial service when they become available.
HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH REUNITE FOR ONE NIGHT WITH JASON ALDEAN
Hootie & the Blowfish have announced that they will reunite for one evening as the opener for Jason Aldean on his High Neon tour. The one-off show will take place at the new Atlanta Braves stadium on July 21. Hootie and the Blowfish performances have been few and far between since former frontman Darius Rucker set out on his solo career in country music. Rucker has been known to play Blowfish favorites on the road sans the rest of the band. The same night will feature performances from Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina.
VENUWORKS TO MANAGE EAST OREGON TRADE & EVENT CENTER
VenuWorks has announced that it will begin managing the East Oregon Trade and Event Center in Hermiston. After VenuWorks was awarded management of the EOTEC, theynamed Al Davis as General Manager. Davis, a 4-H leader and extension agent, relocated from Manhattan, Kansas where he served as President and CEO for Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership. “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work at such an amazing facility,” said Davis in a release. “I am looking forward to working with organizations such as 4-H, Fair Board, the Rodeo committee and all local organizations to make this the best all-purpose facility in the northwest.”
