ARTIC MONKEYS AND KENDRICK LAMAR TO HEADLINE FIREFLY FESTIVAL
Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and The Killers are scheduled to headline the 2018 Firefly Music Festival. Firefly, taking place from June 14-17at The Woodlands in Delaware, will also see performances from Odesza, SZA, Lil Wayne, Logic, and Portugal. The Man. The announcement marks the first confirmed live date for the Arctic Monkeys who are expected to release a follow up album to 2013’s AM this year. Other notable names on the lineup include Warren G, Australia’s Alex Lahey, and Chicano Batman. Tickets go on sale today (Jan. 12) at 10 am ET through Fireflyfestival.com.
VIVID SEATS HIRES FORMER STUBHUB EXECUTIVE
Former StubHub executive Geoff Lester, has been hired as the new Chief Commercial Officer at Vivid Seats. Lester was previously the SVP of global solutions at the Fox Networks Group and served in StubHub’s partnerships and business development division prior to that. Lester will now work on partnership establishment, business development and growth opportunities out of Vivid Seats’ Los Angeles office.
KENNY G HEADS TO WME
Musician Kenny G has signed with WME for exclusive worldwide representation. The award-winning artist will work with WME in music, film, television, books, and endorsements. Kenny G, whose real name is Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, was previously with UTA. With 35 years in the music industry, Kenny G has sold more than 75 million records globally. Kenny G is managed by Danny Nozell and Steve Ross at CTK Management.
