GARTH BROOKS LIP-SYNCED CMA PERFORMANCE
Garth Brooks was lip-syncing during his performance at Wednesday night’s CMA Awards, Taste of Country reports. The superstar admitted he mouthed the words to “Ask Me How I Know” because he had been sick. “We decided to lip-sync it because my voice was just not there and we wanted to represent country music the best we can,” he said. “We made a game time call on whether to sing to a track or lip-sync. And we decided to lip-sync it.” Brooks drew social media criticism after some viewers noticed he seemed off his game.
MAVERICK PARTNERS WITH BIG LOUD MANAGEMENT IN NASHVILLE
Maverick is joining forces with Big Loud Management to expand the former’s footprint in Nashville, Billboard reports. Loud Nation, the parent company of Maverick, reportedly paid an undisclosed sum to acquire Big Loud, whose roster includes Chris Lane. Maverick is now one of the biggest management groups in Nashville, with the help of Spaulding Entertainment’s 11 acts, which is made up of Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn and others.
FOO FIGHTERS ADD SECOND WRIGLEY SHOW
Having instantly sold out their July 29 return to Wrigley Field, Foo Fighters have added a second Concrete and Gold Tour date at the storied ballpark.
