SMG OFFERS ALTERNATIVE TO $100M PENSACOLA DEVELOPMENT
SMG, who manages the Pensacola Bay Center, has provided the Escambia County officials with an alternative plan for attracting a G League basketball for the Florida city. SMG has proposed a “limited investment” in the 33-year-old Bay Center that would bring it up to G League standards in lieu of a $100 million development plan that would be anchored by a new arena, event center, and field house. The NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans are currently considering Pensacola for a new development league team set to begin playing in 2019.
CAA HUMAN RESOURCES EXECUTIVE MOVES TO WME NASHVILLE
WME announced today that former CAA Human Resources executive Brandi Brammer has joined their Nashville office. Brammer previously led the Human Resources team and managed operations at CAA’s Nashville office and in her new role at WME will be involved in developing business strategy, client relationships, and daily operations. Brammer is the seventh CAA Nashville employee to move to WME following the exit of co-head of music Scott Clayton earlier this month.
LATIN STAR JUANES ANNOUNCES 2018 TOUR WITH MON LAFERTE
Latin rock superstar Juanes has announced the 2018 North American Amarte tour with Mon Laferte and special guest Caloncho. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will take off on April 20 at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida and will conclude a month later at Pechanga Theatre in Temecula, California. The announcement follows Juanes and Mon Laferte both winning awards at the Latin Grammys. The latest wins make Juanes the most-awarded solo artist in Latin Grammy history. Tickets go on sale Friday Dec. 8 through Live Nation.
