HOPE AND GLORY FESTIVAL ENTERS LIQUIDATION

The ill-fated Hope and Glory festival is headed for liquidation with 32 creditors seeking reimbursement of nearly £900,000 (over $1,117,000 US). The debut festival in Liverpool was inundated with long lines, bottlenecking, and cancelations forcing them to call if off before day two on Aug. 6. To prevent ticket purchasers from paying out-of-pocket for the failed festival, ticketers Eventbrite and Skiddle shouldered the burden of reimbursements. One of the investors, Liverpool City Council, has stated “any lessons learned will be implemented for future events run by outside organisations.”
