A federal judge has denied a request by Ticketmaster for a two-month delay in its ongoing legal fight with Songkick.
District Court Judge Dale Fischer issued the ruling on Tuesday, shooting down a request to push the beginning of the trial into 2018. Lawyers for Ticketmaster had asked Fischer for a delay as it awaited a motion for summary judgement on several counts in the case.
Lawyers for Songkick fought the request, arguing the delay would be costly and that it planned to call former staffers as witnesses, arguing the further the trial was pushed out, the more difficult it would be to get them to testify.
The case now heads to trial November 14.
